The representative of Spain, Alejandro Antequera, won the title of Mr. Mesoamerica International 2016 besting six other candidates from Latin nations. The pageant was held in El Salvador from Oct. 29 – Nov. 7, 2016. He succeeded Moises Garza of Mexico, the Mr. Mesoamerica International 2015. For the teen category, Karlo Soriano of Peru won the title of Mr. Teen Mesoamerica International 2016 and succeeded Oscar Cardenas of Mexico, the Mr. Teen Mesoamerica International 2015.
Jeremy Giralt Monge of Costa Rica placed as first runner-up and also won the Best Body Award. Mister Nicaragua, Austin Canda, is second runner-up.
