Exclusive Interview with Mister Globe Nigeria 2021, Uzochukwu Nnadi

  1. Can you introduce yourself and tell us a little about yourself?

I am Dr. Uzochukwu Nnadi, a 27 year old medical doctor from the South Eastern Part of Nigeria. I volunteer at the COVID center in the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku/Ozalla.  I am 6 feet 3 inches and 92kg, with brown eyes and black hair. I am fluent in Igbo and English. My special skills include disappearing into my head whenever I feel crowded, making deadlines at the last minute and multitasking. I am secretly introverted and really love making friends. I also love travelling, playing basketball, arguing and reading novels.

  • What are your next projects?

Having been a volunteer to a Covid-19 center in my locality, I have an indept appreciation of what sacrifices that humanity needs to make when our very existence is on the line and this has drive my decision on my career in medicine. Once I am done with the Mr. Globe international I plan to write my primaries in Community Medicine and start my Residency training as soon as I get placement. One day I hope to work with Doctors without Borders.

  • If you elected Mr.Globe 2021, what will be your first action?

If elected Mr. Globe, my first action will be to work with the Mr. Globe organization to start awareness on proper methods of waste disposal then look to establish waste recycling plants to help help with our unemployment problem in my country.

  • Mr. Globe’s slogan is “Mister with a cause”. Do you support a cause?

Of course I support a course.

You aren’t really living if you don’t have something you hope to change. We all have hills that we will die on, mine is environmental preservation and unemployment. I want a word where man and nature are at a balance.

  • What is your favorite song and music video?

My favorite song right now is Culture by Umu Obiligbo featuring Flavor and Phyno. It’s the perfect blend of traditional Igbo music and the contemporary Nigerian sound.

My favorite music video is Ogene by Zoro ft Flavor. It’s a music video by 2 artists who grew up in the same state I did, Enugu; and it is shot in the streets of Enugu. It also helps that it is an Igbo song.

  • What is your favorite food?

That would be pounded yam with heavily garnished Okro soup. Heaven in a plate.

  • What is your favorite animal?

I absolutely love dogs. I had one growing up. Hr name is Duchess and she still lives with my parents. I can’t wait till I am a bit more settled to own another.

  • What is your favorite movie?

My favorite movies are V for Vendetta for its cinematography and storyline, Half Of A Yellow Sun for it’s historical significance to me as an Igbo man.

  • What is your favorite color?

My favorite is black. Black is the new gold.

  • What is your favorite book?

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s Half Of A Yellow Sun.

  • Name your favorite magazine?

That would be Forbes Magazine, the most inspirational publication on the planet.

  • Who is your favorite celebrity?

Globally it would be Isreal Adesanya. I think there are few people who can be named as better examples of the Nigerian spirit.

  • What is your special message to your fans and fellow readers?

The universe somehow returns your energy and rewards hardwork. Your dreams are valid.
