26 -year-old Rohit Khandelwal of India bested 45 other contestants from around the world and was named Mr World 2016 during the finals held 19th July at the Floral Hall, Southport Convention Center, in Southport, England. He is the first Asian to win the coveted title of the 20 years old international male pageant.
Rohit is an actor and TV personality from the Southern Indian city of Hyderabad. Describing himself as a dreamer and believer, he is intent on forging a successful career in front of the camera, but also plans on studying to move behind the camera and make his own films. Aside from his acting, Rohit loves to keep fit, play sports and travel. His favourite cuisine includes indian sweet dish Gulab Jamuns, and Dosa, a south Indian pancake.
Puerto Rico‘s Fernando Alvarez, former Mister International 2015 top 10 finalist placed 2nd while Mexico‘s Aldo Esparza finished 3rd place. Christopher Bramell of England and Kevin Owiti of Kenya completed the Top 5 finalists.

The BLUE Team (France, Switzerland Puerto Rico, Mexico, Poland, Ireland, Spain, Peru, Scotland, Philippines, England) was declared as the overall winner of the Mr World team challenge!
Megan Young hosted the event together with Frankie Cena, Mr World Canada 2012 and Jordan William, Mr World England 2014.
The new Mister World earned $ 50,000 in money and travel the world promoting social projects supported by international competition, in the spirit of Beauty with Purpose.
